Crowd Noise

The crowd noise still ringing in my ears,
Watching as that highway disappears.
Splatters on the glass.
Like an insect thunderstorm--
Raining on a modern balladeer.

The road shines like a ribbon in the night,
Running over the hills and out of sight.
And all the crowds of faces,
And those empty hotel rooms
Are stretching out before my bright headlights.

Chorus

Laughing at the things I'm living through,
Cars and Bars and Airplanes rendezvous.
If I don't know where I'm going,
Sometimes I don't know where I've been--
But you can be sure I'm thinking of you

Chorus
