Getting Started

Ready to get started? Here's a checklist of what we'll need:
 
  • If you're applying for a WWW site, your preferred site name (up to eight characters - this is the '/yoursite/' part of the WWW address) and a password. The password is case-sensitive: 'ABC' is different from 'abc' is different from 'Abc', and so on.
  • A preferred name and a password for each email address. Passwords are not required for accounts with auto-fowarding. EMAIL ACCOUNTS MAY NOT BE USED FOR OR IN CONNECTION WITH MASS MAILINGS ('SPAM').
  • Domains require a domain name ('yourdomain.com'). We will register the name for you or handle a transfer from another provider. Unless you request otherwise, your domain will be set up to respond to both 'http://www.yourdomain.com/' and 'http://yourdomain.com/'.
    All website, email, and domain names are subject to availability and must be 'legal' for the Internet. No blank spaces, for instance, and nothing obscene or indecent. Any name may be refused at our discretion.
  • Your name.
  • The name of your business, if you have one.
  • Your postal mailing address, up to two lines.
  • City, state, and ZIP code.
  • Telephone number with area code.
  • The email address where your monthly statement will be sent. This can be your address at Vashti, if you're applying for one.
  • Setup and first month's fees, payable by check or money order (sorry, no credit cards)
Send the required information via email to the address at the bottom of this page, or fill out the Hosting Application. If you're applying for a domain name, you must signify that you have read and agree to the Domain Name Registration Agreement. You'll be notified by return email when the application has been approved, or if there are any problems. Once approval is given, your service will begin as soon as we receive your payment.
Service may be denied to anyone seeking, in our judgment, to use Vashti for illegal or immoral purposes
